ProLogium Technology has officially launched mass production of its Gen 3.5 Lithium Ceramic Battery at its Giga-level facility in Taiwan. This milestone marks a significant transition for all-solid-state battery technology, moving it from experimental pilot lines to high-volume manufacturing. Independent testing by TÜV confirmed that the 185.4 Ah large-format cell achieves a gravimetric energy density of 381 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of 903 Wh/L. These performance metrics offer substantial benefits for electric vehicles and other sectors where maximizing energy storage within a compact, lightweight footprint is essential for operational efficiency.
The new battery design has also met rigorous safety standards, successfully passing testing under the Chinese GB/T 43568-2026 methodology for all-solid-state batteries. During vacuum testing at 120 degrees Celsius, the cell demonstrated exceptional stability with less than 0.05% weight loss, well within the 0.5% threshold required for all-solid-state classification. This standard is currently being considered by the International Electrotechnical Commission for potential global adoption. The success of this cell is attributed to ProLogium’s Logithium architecture, which utilizes a ceramic separator and a specialized edge-frame structure to ensure insulation and sealing.
ProLogium’s manufacturing strategy focuses on continuity, allowing the company to build upon existing processes rather than redesigning production lines for each new generation. This approach is designed to streamline the transition to future iterations, such as the upcoming Gen 4, which will incorporate a fully inorganic superfluidized electrolyte. The company anticipates that only 10% of its current Giga-level infrastructure will require modifications to accommodate this next phase. Looking ahead, ProLogium plans to expand its manufacturing footprint beyond Taiwan, with scaled production facilities planned for France and a phased localization strategy targeted for North America.
