A Swiss joint venture, Energy Storage BESS Perlen AG, is set to install a 10 MW/20 MWh battery energy storage system at the Perlen Papier AG manufacturing facility. Scheduled for commissioning by late 2026, the project is supplied by ADS-TEC Energy and managed by the wattss group. This initiative marks a strategic shift for the industrial site, moving beyond simple energy optimization to utilize the battery as a revenue-generating asset. By participating in grid stability services and electricity markets, the company aims to transform its infrastructure into a modern energy hub that creates long-term economic value.
