Ultimately, the path to mainstream adoption in the US hinges on proving financial value to the consumer. High upfront costs, exacerbated by current tariff environments, can extend payback periods significantly compared to Europe. To overcome these barriers, the industry is looking toward plug-in energy storage as a way to improve system economics.
